Consul General hosts a return visit of Maltepe University’s Rector

On 19 June 2019, in keeping with the December 2018 agreements, Aleksei Shved, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul, hosted a return visit of Dr Prof Şahin Karasar, Rector of Maltepe University.

The parties went through the programme and itinerary of the forthcoming visit set to be made by this Istanbul-based University to Minsk and Grodno in early August, exchanged contact details and opinions about possible areas of co-operation.

Rector Şahin Karasar reiterated his willingness to host museum exhibitions about the Belarusian history and culture at the University premises, provide a venue for cultural events and meetings of the Belarusian community.
