Consul General met with Istanbul’s Aydın University students

On 22 December 2021, following an invitation from Istanbul’s Aydın University, Aleksei Shved, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul, met with the university’s students as part of the traditional Coffee Hour social activity.

The informal conversation involving the Belarusian diplomat and multinational audience which ran in a positive engaging atmosphere was dedicated to the current stage of Belarus’ development and regional agenda. The Q and A session sparked immense interest in the participants.

As the event drew to a close, the Consul General invited everyone to give a brief personal portrayal of Belarus which most depicted as peaceful and developing. As a gift to the recently built library of Aydın University, Aleksei Shved presented an illustrated book “Belarus and Islamic World” prepared in Arabic, English, Turkish and Russian.
