First International Conference “Bridges of Medical Tourism
21.11.2025On November 21–22, 2025, the Belarusian delegation headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Glaz and the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Yauheniya Bartkevich participated in the First International Conference “Bridges of Medical Tourism: Summit on Healthcare, Diplomacy and Innovation,” held in Izmir.

The forum brought together leading experts in the medical industry, representatives of diplomatic missions, specialists in innovative technologies, and medical tourism professionals from 60 countries. Belarus was represented by Tatyana Murzina, Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and the Center of Chinese Traditional Medicine of the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital, and Vasily Garashchenko, Sports Medicine Physician of the Department for Coordination of Medical Support for National Teams at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Sports.

During the conference, the delegation presented initiatives and proposals addressing current issues of cooperation in medical tourism and outlined plans for joint innovative projects. Special attention was given to experience exchange and the development of partnerships between Belarus and Türkiye. Samples of sports nutrition from OJSC Bellakt, and biological supplements produced by the companies VitusPharm and NIKA under the National Academy of Sciences were showcased to Turkish medical professionals.

In addition, meetings were held with Medipol Hospital Executive Director, Istanbul Medipol University’s Applied and Research Medicine Clinic Director Çiğdem Tüncer, and International Department Director Dr. Haşim Aslan Altınbaş to expand cooperation and facilitate the exchange of doctors and knowledge in medical innovation.
The participation of Belarusian representatives in the conference strengthens international cooperation and contributes to developing medical tourism as an important area of bilateral relations between Belarus and Türkiye.
