On May 16, 2014 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei visited the Embassy of Turkey in Belarus and left notes in the Condolence Book in connection with the Turkey mine disaster in the city of Soma on May 13, that caused numerous human losses.
Vladimir Makei met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Belarus Cevat Nezihi Özkaya. The Head of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed words of support to the friendly people of Turkey.
