Consul General of Belarus in Istanbul attended the opening of the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit

On May 12, 2026, the opening ceremony of the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit, organized by the Marmara Group Foundation, took place in Istanbul. The summit is dedicated to issues of global responsibility, peace, dialogue, and sustainable development.
The summit commenced with messages from the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, read during the ceremony. These messages set a high tone for discussions on peace, dialogue, and the collective responsibility of states.
The main focus of the participants is centered on the consequences of wars and conflicts, forced migration, water and energy security issues, climate challenges, as well as the role of women and public diplomacy in strengthening peace and sustainable development.
