The General Consulate of Belarus in Istanbul Received an Award of Appreciation at the Beyoğlu Cinema Festival

Today, in the very heart of Istanbul, in the Beyoğlu district, an award ceremony was held within the framework of the Second Beyoğlu Cinema Festival to honor the participants. Sefer Karaahmetoğlu, the Acting Mayor (Başkan Vekili) of the Beyoğlu Municipality, attended the event and delivered a welcoming address.

During the ceremony, Sefer Karaahmetoğlu presented an award of appreciation (a commemorative plaque) on behalf of the Beyoğlu Municipality to Evgeniya Bortkevich, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul. The award recognized the Consulate General's active participation in the festival, the screening of the Belarusian film “The Black Castle”, and its outstanding contribution to the development of cultural dialogue between Belarus and Türkiye.

The Belarusian feature film “The Black Castle”, showcased at the Second Beyoğlu Cinema Festival, garnered significant interest and received a warm response from the Istanbul audience. The General Consulate's participation in the festival promotes Belarusian culture in Türkiye, expands humanitarian contacts, and strengthens bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and arts.
