Maslenitsa Celebration underway in Istanbul

On 1 March 2019, Istanbul’s Atatürk Ormanı Park saw winter farewell celebrations during traditional Belarusian Maslenitsa.

Alongside organizational support from the Consulate General, the event brought together a few dozen people from the Turkey-based Belarusian community.

The Maslenitsa Pancake Week in Istanbul was launched with outdoor entertaining festivities to the Belarusian songs and traditional treats.
