Consul General of Belarus in Istanbul Met with the Chairman of the Marmara Group Foundation

On September 16, 2026, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Yevgeniya Bortkevich held a working meeting with Dr. Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation.

During the talks, the sides discussed a wide range of issues regarding the development of Belarusian-Turkish cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening contacts in the humanitarian, social, and business spheres, as well as on implementing promising joint projects and initiatives.
The central topic of discussion was the preparation for the 30th Eurasian Economic Summit. Dr. Akkan Suver officially invited representatives of the Belarusian scientific and expert-analytical community to participate in this prestigious international forum, which will take place on March 23, 2027, in Istanbul.
The Belarusian side expressed confidence that the participation of domestic experts and scientists in the upcoming summit will make a significant contribution to the international dialogue and create new opportunities for expanding professional and institutional cooperation between Belarus and Türkiye.
