The Consul General of Belarus in Istanbul took part in the 7th DEİK Commercial Diplomacy Awards Ceremony

The Consul General of Belarus in Istanbul, Yauheniya Bartkevich, took part in the 7th DEİK Commercial Diplomacy Awards Ceremony held on 17 January 2026 at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress Center.

The event was dedicated to the completion of elections in 153 business councils within DEİK and served as a platform to review the performance of the business councils in 2025 and to define priorities for the upcoming period. Following the elections, a new head of the Turkish side of the Belarus–Turkey Business Council under DEİK was appointed.

In his opening address, the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, Professor Ömer Bolat, underlined the contribution of commercial diplomacy to the growth of Türkiye’s exports and to achieving the target of nearly 400 billion US dollars in foreign trade turnover.

During the ceremony, business councils that demonstrated the best results in developing international contacts, implementing investment projects and promoting exports were recognized, and a special Honorary Award for contributions to commercial diplomacy was presented.
