International Zero Waste Forum

On 28 November 2025, the opening of the International Zero Waste Forum was held in Istanbul, organized with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye and international partners. The event was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul, Bartkevich. 

The First Lady of the Republic of Türkiye, Emine Erdoğan, initiator of the national environmental programme “Zero Waste”, opened the Forum with a welcoming address. 

The participants of the Forum focused their attention on issues of sustainable management of natural resources, reduction of food losses, efficient use of water resources, and the development of waste‑management and recycling infrastructure. 

The Forum brought together representatives of government agencies, international organizations, academia and business from various countries. Its holding became an important step towards strengthening international dialogue on environmental protection and sustainable development.
