On July 22, 2026, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul, Yevgeniya Bortkevich, held a working meeting with a delegation from the Sakarya Branch of the Chamber of Civil Engineers of Turkey (İMO), led by the Chairman of the Chamber, Semih Uçar.

The key topic of discussion was the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in earthquake-resistant construction, infrastructure modernization, and the exchange of advanced engineering expertise to minimize the risks of natural disasters.
The Turkish side expressed strong interest in establishing a direct dialogue with the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus, as well as with leading industry institutes and enterprises, including MAPID, Minskmetroproekt, BelNIIS, and Belpromproekt.
