Belarusian Kalyady come to Kocaeli 22.12.2024

 On 22 December 2024, the Gölcük District Cultural Centre in Kocaeli hosted traditional Belarusian Kalyady.

The colourful New Year event supported by the Consulate General of Belarus in Istanbul and Representative of the Mayor Gölcük of brought together around 100 Belarusian with children.

In his introduction, Ilya Adarchanka, Belarusian Consul, focused on how important it was to conduct unifying events for the Belarusian community and uphold national and cultural traditions as well as extended his wishes of every success and strong health next year of 2025 to each and every Belarusian  in Kocaeli.

The participants were excited about an interactive theatrical gig with Christmas characters. At the end of the Kalyady fairytale each and every kid got hold of a sweet Christmas gift supplied by SPARTAK Confectionery Factory. In the end, the audience enjoyed Belarusian sweet treats.
