Meeting with the leadership of the Department of External Relations of Istanbul City Hall

On March 18, 2026, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul, Evgeniya Bortkevich, visited the head of the Department of External Relations of the Istanbul Municipality, Barbaros Buyuksagnak. The meeting was also attended by the Director of Libraries and Museums of Istanbul Municipality, Ali Shafak Ozdemir.

During the meeting, information was provided on cultural initiatives implemented by the Republic of Belarus. During the exchange of views, the parties discussed potential opportunities for cooperation between Belarus and Istanbul, paying special attention to cooperation in the field of library and museum business, as well as the preservation of cultural heritage.

The meeting participants expressed their sincere wishes for the development of institutional ties in the field of culture and art, as well as for strengthening partnership between the parties in the coming period.
