Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Yevgeniya Bortkevich held a meeting with Selçuk Yavuzkanat, Deputy General Director of the General Directorate of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Turkey.
The negotiations were attended by D. Semyonov, General Director of the National Film Studio “Belarusfilm”, and A. Korotchikova, Deputy Head of the Cinematography Department at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
The parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in cinematography, including holding reciprocal Film Days, implementing joint film projects, and the participation of filmmakers from both countries in international film festivals. Special attention was paid to the opportunities for screening animated films produced by the “Belarusfilm” national film studio in Turkish cinemas. The Turkish side expressed interest in developing this area of interaction.
The Consul General also took part in a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Turkey A.
